Chocolate is a very popular ingredients in sweets. At any time during the year, for any celebration chocolate is a preferred flavor. You can get it from little drops of chocolate studded with nuts and other goodies to large slabs of rich, dark chocolate. The

Chocolate is a big industry and world over there are many confectioners that have a range of sweets that include chocolate. Chocolate in the form of bars, bits, slabs and drop including all kind of additions like nuts, nougat, caramel, chips, rice crispies, peanut butter and other forms of chocolate.
Chocolate, also called the food of the gods, is used as a major ingredient in baking too.
Brownies, cookies, cheesecakes, cakes, cup cakes, breads and icing—chocolate is used everywhere. Let’s look at some
easy chocolate sweets recipes
.
One such popular chocolate sweet is the chocolate truffle. It is easy to make and makes an excellent homemade gift.
It is stylish, fancy and quick to make. A chocolate truffle is a small round ball of one or two types of chocolate, with any number of tasty coatings.
For about 15 small or 10 medium sized truffles, you need:
• 4 ounces dark chocolate
• ½ cup heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon flavored liqueur (optional)
For the coating, you can use powdered sugar, cocoa, crushed nuts, toasted coconut or even chocolate shavings
Melt the chocolate by pouring the heated cream over it. Once the chocolate has melted, add the butter. Add the flavored liqueur.
Spread this mix on a flat surface and let it cool completely. Line up all the toppings in different bowls for the truffles. Take small spoonfuls of the chocolate mixture, shape it like a ball and let it solidify a little.
Then dip the ball in the topping of your choice and let it cool at room temperature. Put five in a small decorative box to give as a gift.
Chocolate sweets also include baked goodies. One such popular baked goodie is a brownie. A beautiful crusty and dense brownie can compete with the best chocolate in the world.
To make brownies you need:
• 1 cup all purpose flour
• 1 cup butter
• 1 egg
• 125 grams chocolate
• ½ cup fine sugar
• Nuts (optional)
Melt the
chocolate
and the butter together, either in a microwave or over a double boiler. Once it has cooled a little add the egg and beat it in. Add the sugar and flour. Then bake in a prepared pan till a thin crust forms. Wait till the pan cools completely before cutting into it.
