Juices for Glowing Skin


Juicing is a popular way to detoxify the body and enjoy a change from chomping on solid foods. Juices are a great way to get nutrition without actually eating solid food. Drinking fresh vegetable and fruit juices can help flush out the toxins from your body and thereby help you get clear, healthy skin.

Fruits and vegetables, as we know, are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and natural sugars. Juicing the fruits and vegetables helps the body absorb the nutrients easily. Having fresh juices is also a good option, if you can’t get yourself to eat the fruit or vegetable by itself.

Once in every six to eight months, you could try out a juice diet for a day or two. However, don’t prolong the juice diet as it can have unhealthy repercussions.

Oranges and Lemons


Juices of lemon, carrot, watermelon, spinach and cabbage are quite good for skin. A glass of carrot juice is good to clear acne, while spinach and lemon juice is great for detoxification.  Regular consumption of juices is great for clear and beautiful skin. Orange juice, for instance, is rich with antioxidants and great to fight skin damage. Cabbage juice has anti inflammatory properties and can heal digestive issues. Carrot juice helps clear the skin and improve vision.

A Drink Too Late

Fruit and vegetable juices are fabulous for skin rejuvenation and glowing skin. However, it is very important that you juice the fruits and vegetables fresh and drink the juice before it gets oxidized. Oxidization is the process where the oxygen in the atmosphere reacts with the juiced fruit or vegetable. This changes its composition and can be harmful. That is why it is important that you drink the juice of fruits and vegetables as soon as you make them.

The Best Health Mix

There are some juicing theories, one of which is that you should not mix fruit and vegetable juices. This subject has been debated considerably without any suitable conclusion. Most juicing procedures require that you mix your juices, to balance some of its side effects and also to combine elements that work well together. For instance, beetroot juice, which is great only in small quantities, should be mixed with a fruit juice like apple or grape juice. Cabbage can be juiced with spinach and carrots or spinach with apple is also a favored combination. Often adding a fruit to vegetable juices can increase the sweetness. Fruits like watermelon and pineapple are often added to hearty juices to increase their sweetness.

Fruit juices are also big in the juicing therapy. Fruits, like vegetables, are high on the nutrition count. Fruit juices can be powerhouses of nutrition, helping combat antioxidant damage and providing the nutritional goals. Blueberries juice, for instance, helps the skin regenerate faster.  Using fruit juices in homemade face packs and for washes also can get you glowing and healthy skin.

Taste the Raw Naturalness

There is also a big movement that focuses on raw juices. The raw food movement, as it is known, emphasizes on keeping food as raw as possible. In this movement, everything is juiced and consumed. Food is not cooked beyond a certain temperature to ensure a high degree of nutrition. When you juice fruits and vegetables, it is also important that you juice it right so that you get all the roughage and fiber from it. Straining the juice might sometimes be counterproductive to the entire exercise of juicing.

It can be a good idea to detoxify and cleanse your body once in a while by juice diets, but replacing your food completely with juices is the wrong approach. Clean and healthy skin also comes from a happy life and a balanced diet with adequate exercise. You cannot ignore the fact that you need a rounded lifestyle for your skin to look and be healthy.
